New 228R or 228 short trigger?

Anyone have experience with both? TGS has them for the same price. 228R comes with standard trigger and 1 mag, 228 has short trigger and 2 mags. This will be my EDC, and bedside table gun, so I will either go with a Surefire x300 or a Surefire handheld (if standard 228). Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

I have' had both the standard and short trigger in my P229ST. I went back to the standard trigger.

When you buff up the stainless ones, they sure are pretty. :)
