View Full Version : 38/357 cast bullet load data
So I'm down in the reloading cave deep in the basement going through some shelves that were put up before the walls to this room were ever built. Lot of junk in there I figure I have to get rid of and organize and I come across a real old dirty big cardboard box of 38/357 cast bullets. Says nothing on the box I weighed them they are 145 grain. I can't find any info in my books on a cast bullet that weight and have a lot of unique to use up. So if anybody has data for unique for that it would be appreciated. I have both 38 special and 357.
I can't think of a use in the world for 'em, but if you can't either I'll buy 'em.
just figured I'd be first in line for once. ;)
I was actually digging out the boxes of jacketed stuff I have to start loading again and by luck came across this stuff. I mostly load 45 for my G30 but am digging out the old dies for other stuff. I figure I might as well shoot the different stuff I have cause life is short, shoot when ya can.
Just use the loading data for 148 grain bullets. Depending on the configuration adjust your AOL accordingly though you really shouldn't have any problems, (as long as you don't seat to deep thus raising pressure) since they'll be in a revolver.
SWC or WC? Yes it matters. You are pretty safe using any 158grLSWC data, even for a 148grWC.
