View Full Version : Got a 442 for my birthday.
From me. It was just what I wanted, too.

With a set of Craig Spegel grips I took off my 3" M36 ...

I just bought the same exact gun myself, today.
The new-style "oval nubbed" rubber grips are neat. I also have a set of similar wood grips (walnut instead of rosewood), which do feel better in the hand since they are a little fatter, but the rubber stockers don't print quite as much in the pocket as they taper down more at the bottom.
I already have an ILS-equipped 642, but the no-lock all-black 442 just called out to me. I traded my Ruger LCR for it, 'nuff said.
I remember when mine looked that nice. :crying:

Nice present you will enjoy it,
and it might just save your life or that of a loved one.

Congrats on a fine revolver.
I have a no lock 642 and would very much like to pick up a no lock 442.I don't shoot mine much but I do carry it fairly regularly in warm summer weather.I might have to sell my model 36 to buy one.
Congrats on your purchase of fine revolver.

Congrats with the new 442. It will never let you down. Enjoy the new weapon.
Thanks guys. I've had the 442 for a little over two months, and it goes just about everywhere with me. I got a horsehide pocket holster from El Paso Saddlery, which works equally well in jeans/trouser pockets and jacket pockets.
It's not quite as much fun to shoot as my Colt 1911s, but it's not actually too bad.

Do you have any trouble using that style speed loader with your 442?

They work fine with the Spegels.
