My New Kimber

I know, I know, I asked all of you what Kimber to buy and it's not a Kimber. I just couldn't pull the trigger again on a Kimber and I'm a Cobra pilot and this thing has something that looks like snakeskin on the grips - which was all the motivation I needed.

So far my Valor runs with any mag; however, I only order Tripps anymore. I have never had an issue with them in any of my various 1911's, so I'm sticking with them.

BTW - congrats on picking the Valor over ANY Kimber. You will be very glad you made that choice!

As I've said before I really like the 47Ds for the money but the springs just aren't as robust as the Cobra, Power or Checkmate mags. I haven't tried the Wilson ETM mags yet but they are close to the price of the Cobra's. One thing about Wilson is if you crack a follower or split a seam they will send you out a replacement no questions asked.

That is a nice looking gun and I am sure it is a better gun that most Kimbers.
