Has anyone ever used Loctite Blue for the front night sight screw on a Glock successfully? I do believe you are supposed to use Loctite purple # 222 but I've had issues getting some and it does have a "USE BY" date, so I'd rather blue...just not sure if it works on such small/fine threads.

Thanks,
paul

The red does have it's place. This certainly is NOT one of them!

:agree:

I've used blue loctite on all my aftermarket pistol sights without a problem. None have ever come loose. On those rare occasions when I had to remove those blue loctited sights, firm pressure on the tool was enough to break the hold without harm to sights or slide.

I use RED. ,
Every set of sights I've bought, that have come with LockTight,
it's always been red.

I used Loctite blue...in my opinion it didn't need any Loctite at all. I'll post about my experience tomorrow night.
