I'm really interested in DSA since their not too far from me. I see they also have a stripped upper for $140. Can anyone tell me the difference between that one and the $60 one?

I emailed DSA - they do not have a store front or will-call, so any sales must be shipped (to an FFL if lower)...

They are blems. The regular lowers are $140.00. According to DSA, they are mechanically in spec. The finish and markings are not up to the required standards. There is a $5.00 shipping fee per unit. So they are really $65.00.

Great deal. I am going to build again. It has been several years, but it is like riding a bicycle.

Also, Bravo is the best place to buy uppers and their great bolt carrier group. DPMS has the best stainless barrels, cheaper at Midway. RRA two stage trigger is the rage. Stag has the best buffer tube assembly for the money. And of course, don't forget Magpal and Yankee hill. So when I am done, I will have a StagBCMDPMSDSARRA type rifle. Who says brand loyality is important.

Almost bought one. ALMOST.

Until I realized I have no idea what I would do with another AR.

My bad, I meant to say a stripped lower. Good info though. I just may get one.

Thats disappointing. I'm only about an hour away and I'll still have to go through my local FFL. That's another $40 to process, plus I have to pay Illinois sales tax so I'll be paying over $100 anyway. :( Still not a bad deal at all.

I just ordered 2 today. They said it would be 3+/- weeks out for shipping.

I am thinking serious about getting one of their M4 uppers to finish out the gun, but I am on the fence between them and a Stag Chromelined with the CH.

I have been frantically looking for reviews to help me decide(here and on arfcom), but basically it is just coming to a decision.

RMT, you are right on the top of the heap if I choose the Stag. Free mag, sling and $2 shipping. yeeha
