the only 250 boxes are ammo that is out of spec and sold bulk for one reason or another. I would stick to factory 50 round boxes for carry but thats me guys have run hundreds of the rounds in assorted calibers threw guns with no issues.

Figures out to ~$24/50 rounds......
I've recently bought 50 rounds of 230gr. 45 GDs for about that....
IMHO.....not a BAD deal...just not a GREAT deal....

surplusammo.com has the same ammo for 150something, for 500 rounds. I just picked up 500 myself

thanks for the feedback everyone. I am fairly new to the board and I am just trying to stock up as inexpensive as possible. I have 50 rounds of Federal HST on the way, 25 rounds of Remington Golden Sabres, and 25 rounds of Corbon Power Ball. I found boxes of 50 American Eagle Range ammo for like $13 a box and have 3 boxes of that. I know people aren't willing to give up their secret internet ammo hook ups, but i will check out your recommendations.
