View Full Version : Carbine Handguard on Midlength Rifle?
I have an RRA A4 mid-length rifle and I just bought a Magpul MAG405-MOE CARBINE HANDGUARD in black. Can I add this item to my rifle if I move the stock A4 front sight? Or do I require the mid-length guard? Thanks for any help.
I'm almost positive that you will need a mid-length handguard, and I'm not sure if mid-length MOE handguards are availalble at this time. Might want to shoot Magpul an email or give them a buzz.
If you don't use a mid-length handguard you'll leave the gas tube exposed.
I don't see how you would be able to move the front sight block to compensate for the length of the handguard. I think you need a mid-length handguard.

You need a mid length handguard. Magpul is coming out with a mid length MOE handguard this year though.
Ok, thanks for all the replies.
