M&P 15-22 question/concern?

I took the M&P out for the first time today, had a case rupture with Remington 550 bulk pack ammo in the first mag. I checked the gun and everything looked fine, so I quite using the Remington. I finished the session with 333 and Federal bulk, the gun ran great and was a blast after I quite using Remington. When I went to put the gun away I checked the chamber and noticed a circular groove on the face of the barrel. It doesn't look like a crack or fracture because of the perfect circle. But I was wondering, is this normal? Also who shoots winchester 333 and what's the general opinion on it?

Sorry the rifle is dirty have not cleaned it yet, estimate 400 or so round fired.

I would not worry, as your weapon does not appear damaged. I have good luck with the Win 333 and the Federal Bulk. I tell you, Remington GBs have really disappointed me lately.......

Mine has the same ring.

I'm not "shooting" down Remington ammo. I use Remington in my other 22s with no problems. However, I have heard, read, and talked to people with major damage in their 15-22 using Remington. 333 worked pretty good. Federal Bulk has been the best in mine. Over 3000 rounds so far.

Is that a small weld or powder at the end of the ejector?

Thats powder. The reason I asked about the 333 was because it will double/2 round burst out of my 10/22 and the M&P almost once a mag.. Thanks for the replys

GGGG, Not to worry that circle is just how the chamber area is machined on all of them. Great photography by the why, what kind of camera did you use?

Thanks its a nikon coolpix L4. I have the macro close up setting on and used a flashlight for lighting. It works great to show detail with close up shots, just make sure the light is not direct if you wish to show texture and don't use the zoom just put the camera closer.
