View Full Version : NAA Revolver
I saw one of these tiny North American Arms 22 revolvers in a gun shop and was just curious. What does one do with one of these? Take it to the range and just plink with it?
It goes in your pocket and falls into the category of 'it's better than nothing'.
*just make sure you have a concealed carry permit.
Just picked one up last night.
I got the smallest one they make. 5-shot .22LR with a 1 1/8" barrel.
I plan to carry it to places where I can't conceal even my G27 or SW638.
It is small and fits into a knife sheath I had laying around. I plan to make a break-a-way necklace holder for the gun using leather or kydex.
I bought it because they are instances where I just could not carry and if caught it would be unpleasent. Can't share more details but this fits my need.
And it's cool!
I carry a 22 mag version (NAA PUG) in the fifth pocket of my jeans. It is my "always have it with me even when I forget to take a gun" gun. A 22mag at 3-5 feet (normal stick-up distance) will ruin anybody's day.
I've had several types of the 22lr and 22 mag pistols and have one currently. When I hear people knock them as worthless, I ask myself: "would I want to be shot with one of these?" Heck no!
I'm not looking for another carry gun, I have enough of those. I like 22's and have a rifle and one pistol, a Ruger MII. Just looking for another plinker. Looking for some kind of revolver but a friend of mine has a Taurus and I dont' like it. The spring in the hammer is very stiff. It has to be to fire off the rimfire. I'm wondering if these are the same?
I have one with 2 cylinders and love it! Carry it jogging, and places I cant carry elsewhere.
I usually take it to the range to play with, Get one!
I love mine. It's a great conversation piece.
great fun with CB longs. snake shot may also be useful.
and it is so small you could hide it in the palm of your hand. people may not even know you have gotten a gun out.
I carry one on a home made leather holster worn around the neck and under the arm. I since went to a LCP in ankle but the NAA still gets use attached to a bedside light (hidden).
It is a coversation piece.
It is not a plinker; easy to shoot, repeatable accuracy is non-existant at combat speeds IMO.
It is a quality piece at $200 (I got the smallest they make .22LR, 1 1/8")
I'd go with the Magnum frame, but still use the LR cylinder - puts the cylinder gap a little farther from your fingers.
I saw one of these today in the gun store, the one that folds into the black handle, and it had a pocket clip on it. Just looks so cool. They had it in 22 and 22 mag but I didn't see one that had both cylinders. It's just a riot to look at.
That's the one I have. shot it today. It's fun!!!
Great little gun, well made easy to carry/conceal.My Wife bought mine 20 yrs.ago as a 1st anniversary gift.It goes everywhere with me even when I carry my G19.Get one you will not regret it .By the way the Wife is still around too!
Well, I did this. More fun than should be legal, and one heck of a last ditch pocket gun.
