The Big Brown Truck just dropped off 500 round of American Eagle 185gr TMJ in 45 GAP to feed my new G38. :eat: I've put 50+ rounds thru it to help familiarize myself with it but I'm waiting for some warmer weather to practice in earnest with what will hopefully become my new CCW.

David,
Where did you get the ammo? Just curious.

David,

I got it from The Sportsman's Guide. $23.15/50 for members and I used the 4 Pay plan so my wallet didn't take a huge hit.

I know you aren't needing any right now seeing as you just got some ammo, but take a look at georgia-arms (http://georgia-arms.com/45gap.aspx), their canned heat is pretty good plinking stuff for the price.

You really can't do much better on price unless you reload yourself.

Congrats on the G38, I just got a G37 not too long ago and love it.

I'm always in the market for ammunition. Thanks for the link.

Dont forget to save all your brass for that little critter. You can reload it while you are waiting for the snow to melt in this wonderful state of ours.

When my funds get rebuilt, I'm going to place an order with them.

Dont expect it right away, sometimes it takes up to 2 months depending on avalibility of products. 45acp and 9mm are long waits, 45GAP and 40s&w were 1-2 weeks before it shipped.

I went ahead and placed an order for 500rds of "Canned Heat". I'm signing up for a Handgun I course in March and it going to take that many rounds just to complete the course. If it doesn't get here before the course, it can replace the ammo stocks I have on hand now.

Was there shipping and sales tax on top of it?

Not on my Sportsman's Guide order as I received free shipping with my Club renewal. There is shipping with Georgia Arms but no tax.
