Barrel swap?

I would like to inquire if I can put a G17 barrel in a G19. Will it fit and are there any problems? Also, will I reap benefits from the extra 1/2 inch or am I just wasting time and money?

My understanding is that a Glock 17 barrel will not fit a 19, different sized locking lugs I believe. A 34 or 17L will fit a 17 and I think the 19 will fit the 26.
You would not gain much anyway as the site radius has not changed.
