Which one do you think is the best all around for CCW or EDC? I was wanting to factor in the grip size... ammount of rounds .... control of shot placement ..I know the 39 is smallest but is it the best for all around carry in emergency situations to control with it's somewhat short chopped off grip??? Your views please on this matter. I would think the full size 37 is not a easy carry concealed but mostly between the 38/39 what do ya think?

Of course its all personal preference, but for me I would say the G37 or 38. I can't shoot the sub compact Glock's to save my life.

I'm in the honeymoon period with my new-to-me 39 and I love it. But the G38 is such a great weapon that I can't honestly not recommend it for your stated purpose.

G38 for me! Of course all my Glocks (23 2nd Gen, 19 3rd Gen, 38 3rd Gen, 32 3rd Gen) are / have been the mid-frame variety - fits my hand best and conceals quite nicely as an EDC. Each one is entirely suitable for CCW. Which one do you have? Which one do you like / shoot the best? Which one fits your hand the best? Which other Glock of comparable frame size do you have / like / shoot the best?

I have all three and if I could only keep one it would be the G38.

I conceal my G39 every day. It works for me. Still, I want to try a G38, as most everybody who owns one loves it.

I'd go 38, I had a 26 and never shot it. Always shot the 19, so I traded the 26 for the 38.

I don't have problems concealing a full size pistol.
I've carried a FS 1911, Commander and G17 with no problems.

since getting a G38, it's been my carry piece most of time .
I now have a G37, but don't see it replacing my Commander or G38 for carry

Of the three, 37, 38 and 39, the 38 would be (is) my choice hands down

if i was considering a 6+1 capacity sub compact gWock , it would be a G36 not a 39, due to the 36's better/thinner grip

Nako, this is a question only YOU can answer. How well do you shoot the Glock subcompacts? How are you going to CC your pistol?

You have read that some of us, including me, shoot the smallest Glocks very poorly. I CC in size-large Tommy's bellybags that will accommodate a full-size+ Glock 35, but I carry a G23 with tactical light in them now, and I'll be carrying my new G38 as soon as I receive and/or reload the right PD ammo for it.

When I carry the G39 I use a G37 mag w/+2 for a backup which gives me an additional 11 rounds. There is not an 11 round mag available for the G36.

I really don't personally like the 36's grip. It's the only Glock that the grip angle bothers me.

i hear you, OM
personally, I can't say I'm real fond of the grip on ANY Glock.
I've learned to shoot them well enough though and appreciate a reliable, accurate weapon .

When you weigh # of rounds, accuracy, concealment, and shootability, the 38 is my choice. (equipped with a lasermax of course). Of course you can't skimp on holsters. I have one for every dress occasion. IWB, IWB Tuckable, and for deep concealment the bushwacker bellyband- http://www.concealedhandguncarry.com/10.html

The acer gun belt is an excellent choice for a reasonable price, and has made all the difference in holding a gun tight in an IWB .

I am in a high profile position and address hundreds of people in an audience and wear it all the time.

Appreciate the tip. May grab one of those belts.

:agree: On my hip IWB 4 o'clock right now with G37 mag & +1 on weak side hip. I love the feel of this combo always riding ready to go. To paraphrase Clint Smith, "A sidearm is supposed to be comforting, not comfortable." But carried properly, this one is both - in spades!

Im sorry but how is the G36's grip THINNER/BETTER than the G39? You do realize that the G37,38,39 all have 9/40 frames right?

no need to be sorry, JCII

and yep, i do realize that
I owned a 26 BTW

the 36 is a single stack 45 auto, and frame/grip is indeed thinner and better to "me"

I don't have any but my research is pointing towards the G38. The grip is just like the G19 which fits perfect.
