View Full Version : EAA Tanfoglio Witness Match: Any thoughts?
Who here owns one in 10mm? Is it a decent shooter? I like the fit and feel of the gun, but I've read mixed reviews.
I own a Tanfoglio Limited in 38 Super. Great pistol.
I am interested in the responses as well, this pistol looks very intriguing.
Bac, no pic? haha
Quality is hit or miss. I had an Elite Match in 10MM and wound up with frame damage in about 1K of stout loads. Judge for yourself.... Note the sawged metal on the frame. It lead to difficulty removing the slide off the frame during disassembly.
Have a fullsize stainless in 10mm and it is flawless. Heavy as a boat anchor, but a great shooting pistol.
I plan on getting a 40S/W bbl for it soon.
Mine shoots great!
I luv my Witness Elite Match in 10mm. Feels good, shoots good and runs like a top.
Last fall my buddy and I got blown off the lake so we decided to fire off a couple hundred rounds in a near by gravel pit. Two weeks later he was the proud owner of Witness Elite Match in 10mm. Said he just had to have one.
Mine at 25 yards.

I bought an elite match in 38 super recently. Great gun! I will definately buy a 10mm match top end for it. I miss my old witness 10mm so I wanted a replacement. The match witnesses are very well made and nice guns when compared to the standard witness.
Get it, you won't regret it. I just regret waiting so long to buy one.
I've had the 10mm Match for a couple years. Love it & never had a problem with it, though I've only got about 500 rounds through it. I got a 10mm compact as well and carry the Match w/ compact slide for backpacking.
Henning has a new ConeFit guide rod (http://www.henningshootsguns.com/pages/2009_guiderod.html) for cheap that looks like it'll fix the frame battering issue.
