I have this set of Colt 1911's and I was just wondering the value of them.
My dad handed them down to me. I am not wanting to sell them just trying to put a price on them.

Cheers,
Justin

You can check gunbroker for averages, prices can be all over but yours, in my guess, can be found for 800-900 bucks each.

If memory serves me, I remember those from the mid-70's. At the time they sold for $250 around here. As I recall, they didn't sell very well (I don't know why....'cause I lusted after every one of 'em). I kinda remember hearing that a lot of them were yanked out of the display cases and sold off just as guns and mags........the boxes were supposedly tossed in the trash. I cringe at the thought.
I still kick myself for not buying at least one of them!

If you are wondering about an amount for insurance, I would insure them at $3000 each.

If you want to sell them I would guess that somewhere between 2000 and 2400 would be about right. Provided they are unfired and in perfect condition, and they are hand engraved.

Keep in mind that it all depends on how badly someone wants them. It may be hard to sell them or someone could walk up and offer more to you.

The folks at Colt will tell you what the MSRP was origionally.
