I pick this one up a month or so ago for a very good price and thought I'd share a picture or two. It's been reblued sometime in its life but still looks good to me. I have not shot it yet. Maybe next week.

You are most fortunate. Now ASAP, lube it... take it to the range and load it... and of course shoot it! Enjoy! Sincerely. Brucev.

bac1023,
that is a beautiful pistol. Tell us more about the build. What year was it manufactured? Mine was made in 1913.

Actually mine isn't an original USGI, its a the reproduction that Colt sells today.

These guys don't work cheap and those prices don't include the $1000 base gun.

I really like this gun. I've never been a 1911 guy until recently. Now I want one. I really like the colt GI just like the one above. I know nothing about 1911. How much is one gonna cost>

corndog, which 1911 are you talking about? The original GI 1911 or the reproduction Colt 1911?

I have one from 1918 that is not in as nice a condition as the one posted by the OP but it's still more accurate than any of my four HK's!

A reproduction one. I'm sure an original one would be too much and I wouldn't wanna shoot it
