View Full Version : Found what I've been looking for!
I have looked for an Anschütz Stutzen, a Mannlicher stocked carbine, with a 54 action for a long time. I finally found one.
This is not my first 54 and won't be the last, I hope!

I am in love....like the first time! I wanted one ever since I was a little boy in short pants.
Beautiful rifle. Enjoy! Sincerely. Brucev.
I think that it is as old as I am - but in better shape.
that looks great! very clean :wow:
Beauty rifle! Like that full length stock.
If you dont mind me asking, can you PM me the price you paid? Just curious more than anything

Just a tad north of a grand. But I do not regret this. I love it as much, or more, than my 1969 Korth revolver in .22.

Fancy rifle. Just curious, is there any performance advantage that a Mannlicher stock offers or is just for like personal preference?
As others have noted -- that is a truly gorgeous rifle!

The Mannlicher stock does not offer better performance, probably worse heat dissipation, but was used in the German mountains to (supposedly) better protect the barrel.
The accuracy of this rifle can be contributed to the 54 action, the heavy barrel, and the double set triggers.
The full length wood looks very nice! :)
