Colt & Wesson M&R-15

I have an M&P-15OSR, and a Colt Match Rifle. I was looking at them, next to each other on the rack, and wondered if S&W built M&P-15s to MilSpec, and if I were to completely disassemble 6 M&P-15s, and 6 AR-15s, could I assemble that parts randomly, and have a dozen Colt & Wesson M&R-15s? Or are there subtle differences in the S&W view of what building an AR entails?

The parts should all interchange, but they're not all made to the same specs as far as material, testing, QC, etc.
