Anyone have one? How do you like it? Carry a full size 9mm M&P and a Commander 1911 CCW and have been thinking about the Mid Size, thoughts?

I had the compact and would have preferred the midsize. Kind of a hybrid between your full size 9 and the 1911. Basically the same size as the 9 so if you can carry that, you should be fine.

I bought one just the other day. Didn't even realize they made 'em until
I saw it at the gun shop. Same concept as the Commander.
Have not been to the range with it yet.

If you are familiar with Hilton Yam on the 10-8 forums he has a nice write up on the M&P45 family. In the article he states he believes the M&P45 mid-size is the best of the bunch. He considers the full size to be the "longslide" and the mid-size to be the "full-size".

I have a full size, love it. I wish they would make a 45L with a 5 or 5 1/2" barrel.

I have a 9mm FS and just sold (regrettably) a .45 Mid-size. I found them virtually identical in overall size, even used the same holster for them. Unfortunately, I found the .45 grip slighly too large for my smaller hands, while the 9mm is "just right", both with the small inserts installed. The .45 grip was slightly larger in circumference and front-to-back measurements than the 9mm. Both are what I consider "service" or full size handguns. Additionally, the 9mm came with a much smoother and lighter stock trigger than the .45 did (the .45 trigger was real gritty, too). I wish the .45 fit me better than it did, but I've grown real picky about ergonomics on handguns over the years.
