Anyone tried these on an UC? I really am thinking about it and want to hear some feedback. Thanks.

Hate to say it but from my experiences you never know if you like them until you shoot them. Personally, I prefer the 10-8 u-notch with a Trij front. However, the Big dot system is VERY fast in terms of aquisition.

I hear ya. I hate to buy some without shooting a gun that has them first. But, I don't know anyone that has any on a one of their guns. Tempted to roll the dice and put a set on my G27, since it doesn't have night sights. My UCII has the plain sights, but I'm more inclined to go with a set of Mepro night sights for it.

I have a set on my XD45 and love 'em. Some people have trouble shooting accurately past 10 yards with them, but I grew up shooting express sights on 22 rifles, so I'm right at home using express sights for precision shooting...YMMV.

Even if you don't go with the big dots, the standard Express sights with the standard white dot outline are far easier to see than most others.

I've kinda been thinking that might be the route to go.

Good idea. I have 'em on my 39 and love the concept on a subcompact.

I really like the way they look on the G39. I bet they'd be great for my G27, which is really the gun I'd like to put them on. I've seen other pics of your G39 with them and they look good.

They are great for a quick deployment subcompact IMO. I wish my point 'n shoot camera would let me manually focus on the front sight so you can see how easily the rear is picked up with the front in focus.

They don't work well for me.
I can get good hits out to about 15yds with these sights, but I can shoot almost as good with minimal, original 1911 sights as well.
Accuracy with this system, requires time, for me. I can get decent groups at 15yds only with excessive time invested.
If my daughter was held hostage at 45 feet.......I would not risk the shot.

The big dot works better on a longer sight plane. The shorter your barrel, the less margin for error.

I would only put them on a subcompact or J frames.
