I just picked up another Taurus 651SS and found a set of matching grips.

I always wanted twins!

I already had these Shado gunleather holsters since I am ambidextrous (and have other snubbies) but I couldn't resist getting a shot of them "dressed alike"

Anyone else have a matched set?

I like the look of em and the holsters. Tell me they have shot absolutely awesome for 10,000 rounds so i can go find a matching pair!

I like the idea but not the placement. I think a canted SOB pair of holsters would be safer... leave that 3" or 4" in the middle open to give the spine some breathing room. :wavey:

From 2002 to 2007, I routinely carried two SP101 snubbies concealed, in matching holsters for much of that time. I started with Galco Concealables, then acquired a pair of Sparks PMK holsters. In late 2007, I started carrying one of my duty pistols, a SIG P229 SAS, concealed when on my own time, but when I retire in a few years, I will probably revert to SP101s again, at least most of the time.

Of course, being a Texian, I dispute the "NY Reload" terminology, as Texas Rangers were carrying pairs of Colt percussion sixguns in the 1830's/1840's. (Yes, Texian is correct, at least for the Republic period.)

Actually, IIRC, the term "New York Reload" was popularized by the late, great Jim Cirillo, of the NYPD SOU, one of the truly great gunfighters of the 20th Century. I was blessed to have met him in person, and further blessed by one-on-one conversations as well as group talks at the Snubby Summit in 2005. I loved that man, so y'all can call it the New York Reload as much as y'all want.

.357Jedi, I have four .357 SP101s. The Force is telling you to at least acquire a second one!

I have heard so many bad things about Taurus but that pair certainly looks good, how do they shoot? I am thinking of getting another G-19 to compliment the one I currently have but doubt id ever carry both at the same time.

With regards to the New York Reload or Texas Ranger Reload I would have to dispute both theories on the fact that Pirates of the coast of Belize and most of the Caribbean regularly carried up to three pistols tied around their necks while boarding other ships. So I re-name it THE PIRATE RELOAD. LOL

They shoot very well. Controllable and as accurate as you expect a Snubbie to be. I won't be shooting guys at 25yds with them (though I probably could from a nice rest) but they point well enough for me.
