I have a SOCOM II with a Vltor rail system. The rail stops in front of the ejection port. I am interested in using a holographic type sight along with a 3X magnifier. My concern is the long eye relief for the 3X magnifier. Is there a way to mount the magnifier where the stripper clip now sets? And, if I were not asking too much, is there a system that would allow me to maintain the use of the iron sights as a backup? Thanks in advance!

As far as the 3x magnifier I personally like the Larue pivot mounts you may want to look into them also he offers mounts that would allow you to use your iron sights with a Red Dot
