I have to say...I did see the Tasco Red Dot for maybe $49. I was considering it for the same purpose.

I have a Leapers that is going to come off of an AK one day that has been a trooper. That was only $39...

Try Primary Arms micro dot (www.primaryarms.com). It's at the $60 price point and holds up like a champ on my Mossy 930 SPX.
