I tried the Glock +2 extensions on my GAP magazines with mixed results. On my G38 magazine, it did give me 1 extra round capacity (9 rounds) but on my G37 magazine I still could only get 10 rounds in.

What has been you Bull Dawgs' experience with magazine extensions on your GAP mags. Does anybody use Pierce or another brand of extension with success?

I use Pearce "+1" extensions on my 38 magz; each adds one for a total capacity of 9 cartridges.

To clarify, mine are marked 'PG-GP'.

Are you using the older bases marked "+2" or the newer #7151 bases? I have the 7151's on all my G37 magazines. The 11th round is tough, but the 10th round is easier.

The bases are marked with a + symbol and that's it.

I hope my question(s) enhance this thread, but I'm not familiar with all the part #s, manufactures, & capacity increases, but I sure would like to be, ergo my asking...

I know of Pearce & Arredondo as far as extensions/base pads that add capacity. Are there others? Does Glock offer them?

While reading some of this thread, it appears that some of the extensions aren't providing the capacity increase that they advertise? Am I reading this right?

I feel like an extension that increases capacity is something that I want on all my mags. I don't own a sub compact Glock as of yet, but I feel (have yet to shoot 1) that I would want an extension that would not only increase capacity, but would give me a nice spot to put my pinky for these models.

I own a P-32 & have decided I want to get the mag they sell with 3 more rounds & a place for your pinky, & I just assume (while still open minded about trying it out first) that I would want this for a sub compact Glock as well.

I guess I want info just like the OP, but I'm trying to provide some more specificity, so that I can get a more detailed answer. Any & all info about experience with extensions that increase capacity would be great.

Glock does make it's own +2 extension. It is technically only for the 9mm/40cal magazines but a 45GAP magazine has the same dimensions.

Glock factory extensions will add 2 rounds to 9mm, 40SW and 357SIG magazines. They will only work on fully metal lined (FML) standard capacity (high capacity)magazines and will not work on 10 round magazines (with the exception of the sub-compact magazines 26/27/33).

After shooting my subcompact glock with extensions and without, I found that I shoot better without extensions. My pinky finger does bad things to my aim.

I'm just the opposite with my subcompact G26. I do much better with the extension. As of right now, I don't have any extensions on my GAP magazines.

No offense meant, but why would you put one of those ridiculous looking extensions on your G38 mags insteads of just getting a G37 mag for it ? You can add the sleeve to make it look decent http://www.topglock.com/item/67761_AG_Grips_Pads_Stocks_AG_MAG_SPACER_GLOCK_17_2.aspx Then it looks like it fits, and holds 10 insteads of 9.

I have bought 3 G37 magazines for my G38. Now I'm thinking of adding the extensions to the G37 magazines. :)

Do you carry it that way ? I will say again, I mean no offense. I know asthetics has no effect on functionality. It just looks really strange, plus it kills the concealability of the weapon.

The 38 is a great pistol, but if capacity is THAT big of a deal to you, why didnt you get a 21, or a 30 with a 21 mag. Then you have 14 rounds of .45, or just stick to a .40 S&W ?

Like I said, I know how things can come off on the internet, but I dont mean this to sound snide.

I do not carry it that way. I carry a G37 magazine as a spare. I have the standard G38 magazine in the pistol while carrying it.

Yea, I also carry the 37 mag as a spare. I've carried a .40 and .357 SIG for so long, the drop in capacity did kind of concern me at first.

I used to carry a G37 magazine as a spare for my G39.

But I have problems with the 37 mag causing feed jams.

It's not the magazine itself - it's a combination of the magazine, the fact that I'm left-handed, and the fact that my pinkie finger pulls the bottom of the magazine sideways while the ball of my index finger rests ever so slightly on the magazine release. When I keep my pinkie finger off, I never have a problem. When I added a A&G Grip Sleeve, I stopped having problems.

But I don't use that mag anymore. Say, anybody wanna buy a G37 mag with a grip sleeve to have it fit a subcompact?
