Hey guys first time posting here lots of good info on this site but I gotta question... I have a bushy a3 that is stamped law enforcement government use only. My guess would be it was made during the assault weapons ban? Is it worth a little bit more then a reg bushy or same? either way I think it is pretty neat, I always get the " is that legal" line :rofl:any info would be great. Thanks!

I have one of these lowers as well (built during the ban era). IMO these are not worth any more than any other factory lower (others may think they are worth less because of the lettering).

Probably worth a lil more to someone looking for a sample. Personally I don't like the extra lettering. It's the one thing I totally dislike about Colts.

You could stamp "NOT LEGAL FOR CIVILIAN USE" on the barrel and it wouldn't matter.

My Colt 6920 says the same thing.

Most likely not worth anything more, why? To look bad ass.

Made during Ban?

Oh ya welcome to GT!

If I wanted to read something,I'd buy a book.I dislike Rugers for the same reason.

Think of it as a gentle reminder that at one point in our recent history, citizens/peons were not allowed weapons suited for their "keepers" or "betters".

Ya I was just curious of why it was stamped... someone asked how it was legal for me to own a select fire AR, I told him it wasn't and he then informed me that it had to be... good luck with that.

The rifle was stamped because it was made during the ban of 94 to 04. Ban died, and it is %100 legal to own.

Yes, you can own a select fire AR-15. All it takes is about $15,000 +$200 tax stamp, and you are ready to rock & roll.
