Ranges/Places to shoot

I am getting tired of range fees

Where do you guys like to go shoot for free around the SLC area?

Im looking for free ranges, or just sides of mountains that you legally shoot into. Or places in the desert. Directions would be nice, or links to the coordinates on google maps.

Head down Redwood Road to the west side of Utah Lake. Go about 5 miles south of the last set of houses. You'll probably see other people out shooting, especially on the weekends.

It's kinda of muddy right now. I'd recommend a truck/4wd.

Its called the Utah County Open Range. There used to be a little sign there, now I think its bigger. You'll need truck/4wd for sure unless you dont mind hiking up with guns and ammo.

Its still my favorite place!
