View Full Version : Gun Shop Snubbie Score!!!
Stopped in my local fun store. Their prices are high on new stuff but they have this little used handgun counter and they consistently have been my downfall over the years. Always a good deal if you time it right. Anyway, they had this like new old Smith Centennial 640 stainless for $340 and I couldn't walk away!!!
Joined with a no dash no lock 442 I bought from the same shop 4 weeks ago for the same price!
Did I do good? Pay no attention to the date. My son's camera and the date is wrong.
You did VERY good. I recently sold a Mod 49, blued, for more than that.
Yes, you did very well.
Wow I wish I could find deals like that.Great score man.
WOW she's a beauty! Ya done good.
I've got a nickel 3" 36-1, and a blued 3" 36 no dash, and I bet mine like me every bit as much as yours like you.
They have grown quite fond of me and the feeling is mutual. ;)
I traded in my 640 years ago; regretted it for years, and finally bought a 642 no-lock in part because I couldn't find an even "reasonable" deal on a no-lock 640.
LOVE my 642. Still miss my 640.
nice. i wish the gun store around here had those deals.
You can't go wrong on the J frames.
Nice little gun at a great price, congrats!
The twins are beautiful !!!!! BTW, What pocket holster is that?
Good deal, these are not getting any cheaper.
You pretty much stole both of those; especially from a store/shop.
While the current J frames are good revolvers (especially the few that are showing up with no lock), those older ones with the one-piece barrel and "skinny" frame are still the best, IMO.
Congrats! I just picked up a nickel 640-1 a few weeks ago. I'm growing very fond of it. My favorite J frame thus far.
Nice pickup. Congrats. I am certainly jealous. Love my 642 no-lock, but that is nice.
