View Full Version : How do you edit a title?
I have a gun in the firearms section. I added a picture but how can I let people know I've added pics?
Users are not allowed to edit/change titles in any of the forums here at Glock Talk.
Allow me to offer the opinion that if someone is looking for that model, they will look at the thread even if the title doesn't indicate photos. Once someone is interested, the photos are important, but if they aren't looking for that model (which is listed in the title of your post), then the photos won't make much (if any) difference.
You might consider adding "PHOTOS ADDED!" to the first line of your thread (by using the Edit button), as the first line or two is what shows up as a teaser when a person hovers their cursor over the thread title.
Hope this was helpful.
OK. When I first placed my ad in the Firearms Accessories section I was only looking for FTF sales and posted as such in my title. Now I am willing to ship, but I cannot edit my title to reflect this change (i.e. drop the 'FTF in Phx. AZ' wording in the title). I would delete my original ad, but I cannot seem to find that option either in the 'edit' feature, so I posted what is basically a duplicate ad w/o the FTF wording in the title. How would you suggest I approach this so that I do not have basically two ads that are identical? Thank you.
Users cannot delete threads OR change titles here at GT.
Just let both the threads run, but don't "bump" the old one to the top any more. You can use the Edit button to change the top line of the older thread to reflect that you will now ship the gun; when folks hover their cursor over the thread title, it will display the first line or two, so they will see the change without even having to click on the thread.
If any of the Mods, Admins, or the site owner (Eric) says anything about the duplicate posting, send them a link to this thread. It'll help explain what is going on.
Thank you for your response.
