Yes, you could have done that but don't forget, the barrel is not the only thing that differs between the 20 and the 21.
The slide is a lot thicker/heavier on the 20 than on the 21, I believe it's so that the 20 can handle the hotter loads. I think the extractor is also a bit different. If it is going to be a EDC or a HD pistol, I'm not sure I'd be able to trust a converted pistol 100%....especially since all I'll be shooting are hot DT rounds. You did well by picking the 20 if you want to shoot 10mm, IMHO.

I agree with nearly all of this,....but slide weights are only 1.1 ounces different.

I don't know enough about the science in this matter to say that 1.1 ounces is enough to make much of a difference or not. I don't know. I'm sure Glock had a reason for designing it that way though.

No pic. Can someone describe what was in the pic before it was removed? I have not heard of the RTF being available in any of the large frame Glocks.

It was a G21 slide, RTF2 frame, and 10mm conversion barrel, IIRC... sweet-ass Frankenglock!

Are you saying the G21 is made in RTF2 now? Or is it a photoshop/gag pic?

No...
Maybe, not sure.
There was a special run of G21SF's made and the over run was put on the market.
IIRC Ed's Public Safety had/has them.
