Hey guys, thanks for all the nice comments! It really means a lot to me.
One of my favorite things in life, is to post pics of something I just finished. And to read the resultant comments.
Guess I'm just an insecure person that can't get enough hugs. Awwwwww...

Anyways, another goal of mine is to interest Bac enough to make a dream trip come true.
I've always wanted to take a boat down the Mississippi, to the Amazon, and all navigable routes from there.
I figure Bac might have just such a boat....and if I play my cards right....maybe he will loan it to me for a few weeks.
well who knows?

Did you refinish it or somebody else?

Big,
Sending out work for refinishing is the bane of an OCD 1911 smith.
I struggled for years with poor service, poor quality control, dinged checkering and jerk attitudes.
I like Cerakote. My hard use, daily carry customers like it as well.
It's not easy to do....right. In fact it is a royal pain is the keister. Not to
mention the inherent and virtually unavoidable exposure to carcinogens and/or liver damaging organic solvents.
But......I can do it myself, to MY standards. And if I screw up, well I just do it again.
So yes, I do it myself.

I don't think I will ever come to like FCS, ambis or magwells, but it you want them, that is exactly how they should be done. Exquisite workmanship.
