View Full Version : P380 hates pmc 380 ammo...
Had 50 rounds and had about 45 ftrb. This was the first 50 rounds. I had 18 Winchester rounds and did not have any problems. Anyone else have problems with pmc 380 in their p380?
I don't have a P380 (still looking for one), but I have had issues with PMC in my PM9. About 2-3 rounds a box will not fire on first strike (primer impact looks normal for the PM9). These rounds do fire the second time I put them through the mag. PMC is the only ammo I've ever had issues with in the PM9.
Anyone else have problems with pmc 380 in their p380? I put 100 rounds PMC through my p380 just yesterday with no failures and PMC is what I am carrying right now. So far mine has fed Speer (gold dot HP), Selliers/Bellot, Federal, Fiocchi, Remington and Lawman FMJs with no trouble, approaching 1000 rounds.
Even now though it will not feed MFS Hungarian ammo reliably. Early on it would not even fire that brand. The more you shoot it the better it (and you) get.
Probably doesn't relate, but shot a bunch of PMC through my PM9 today without a hitch. Wish they sold 380 PMC around here. Got a 1/2 case of S&B 380 delivered today. We'll see how that goes....
Taller .380 rounds such as fiocchi give the P380 problems
I don't have a P380 yet (give me a few weeks) but I shot PMC 380 in my Taurus PT58HC without any problems.
mine liked 100 rounds of augila fmjs just fine. it is a nice, soft shooting pistol.
