What is your favorite handgun?

My favorite handgun is my all stainless Colt Commander 1911. It is not the most expensive or fanciest gun I ownI even have the XSE version of the same gun that is way more decked out, but it still my favorite. I guess I like the simplicity of it.

My favorite Glock would probably be my G29. I always take it with me when hiking or camping. It is my "Good for every occasion" gun. :)

I still have my first real auto, a Colt Combat Commander, electroless nickel, which I have shot the snot out of over the years, pushing 40Krounds, but she jams every now and then, loose as a goose. I also have a Walther P-5 I got wholesale back in the late '80s, someone had a dealer order it and did not pay up front. I worked at a gun shop and knew what they cost and sold for, so I traded for it. The magazines were terribly expensive, but a P-38 mag can be modified. I like the SIG 220 and the HK USP, a tie . I have a lot of favorites I guess. A pristine Swedish Lahti, to go with 4 different Swede rifles. A very beat up Soviet Nagant, dated 1937(kind of creepy, year of one of the purges) it is a bring back or pre 68 import. I have a '20s vintage Colt Police Positive, 98% that is nice too. I guess what ever I am using is my favorite. :supergrin:

I have two Glocks now, a 23 and a 27, and since they are the only Glocks I have ever owned, they are my favorite/s. If I ever get a G30, it will probably be my favorite. :supergrin:

Ugh. My fav non-glock 9mm is my Taurus 92. I've gone through 5 of em' since the early 90s and they all shot very well (just always sold or traded 'em for whatever other gun or guitar). When I started relaoding in the late 90s is when they got the most use. It was incredibly cheap to reload in them days and I shot 'em till they were almost too hot to handle. It's the Beretta design I like. Sure, I've had a Beretta before, but I just prefer the safety/decocker on the frame as well as the cocked and locked carry option.
Fav Glcok is my G-19s. Got 3 of em and they're everything I want a 9mm to be.

Current fave, of course, is my FNG Special -- It's full of glocky goodness. :D (I'll not mention the model, since that would be in non-compliance with the thread starter.

Non-Glock? I hate them all! I'm considering a yard sale so I can buy more Glocks...

Um... Let's see... It would have to be my little Beretta Cheetah. Not of major caliber, but it's makes for a compact BUG that carries 13+1 rounds of .380 rudeness. It's a "74-BB" model with the rounded trigger guard and wooden stocks. It carries and holds smooth and handles like a dream... It represents my re-entry into the gun owning community shortly after the horrible attack on NY in September 2001. My old friend will stay with me until passed along in the event of my demise.

A close second would be my father's old Ruger Security Six. It was the first gun I fired as a youngster in short pants and crew cut. Dad later had a rather reckless trigger job done on the magnum, so now it operates in single action via mind control.
Another that will stay in the fambly.

As you can see, I'm somewhat sentimental. ;)

My favorite handgun is my Glock G-32 (http://us.glock.com/products/model/g32) because it fits very well in my hand, the .357sig caliber's attributes, and the fact that it's been perfect from Day One with every kind of FMJ and JHP ammo fired.

I gotta say, I'm really surprised how few Glock 22's are in this thread as favorites. Glock 22's are hands down my favorite Glock, only I've got a Gen 4 22, Gen 3 22, and a Gen 3 22C and I can't really pick between them!

That boils down a lot to use and personal preference.

For target work I'll take my Kimber Classic Stainless Gold Match. in 45 Acp.

General defensive use I'll say any Smith & Wesson 3 Gen DAO.

Handgun hunting, again, I'd be partial to S&W 586/686 or the 29 Classic Series.

I don't do polymer pistols. Glocks are ill fitting in my hand. However seeing the CCF Raceframes makes Glock frames in Stainless or Aluminum, one could be in my future.

It's been awhile since I posted, but (flamesuit on) I liked Hackett's Para .45, and AJ's G19C. I shot both better than other guns. And the range's Springer Mil-Spec gets rented every other time I go. :thumbsup:
