New shotgun...Deal or Not

So, I was at Dunahms today cause I had intended to buy a 100 rd case of federal #8's. Of course I had to eyeball all the guns and my eye was drawn to a Mossberg 500. Synthetic stocks all around, heat shield and 18.5 in barrel. I fondle it for a minute and the guy showing it to me says they are on sale for $269.99. So I tell him I'll take it! Left the store with 100 rds of winchester #7.5's and the shotgun...total $314.90. I think I got a good deal, but what does everyone else think?
