Best Weapon Light? [Archive]

Hey guys, i know that "best" is a pretty loaded adjective... what I mean is best for me. I am thinking about putting a light rail on my 1911, and then using a weapon light on the gun. So, If I dont want to spend more than 150 bucks, what is the best one out there? I want it to be water proof, and reliable as well as have great light output. Battery life is a plus also. It needs to be able to fit in a holster still... So, any suggestions? Thanks for the help!

I would suggest a Streamlight TLR1 for a 1911.

TLR-1 is about perfect... and less than $100 just about anywhere.

If your not in a position to snap a light onto a rail, I would recommend a Surefire G2Z.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! I've heard way to many horror stories.

Brownells and Opticsplanet are good places to shop and have AWESOME customer service. Go with the Streamlight TLR1. You can't go wrong with a "Lifetime No-Excuse" Warranty. And if you want a laser, get a pair of Crimson Trace lasergirps.

X2 ****** sucks! I ordered a set of magpul mbus from them, a month later they show up. After calling several times and always put directly on hold and finally hanging up. When i finally talked to someone, they sent more so i got 2 sets for the price of one.

+1 on TLR1. Haven't used a ton of weapon lights but my TLR1 does everything I need it to do.
