I now have a Argentinean-made 1949 Ballester-Molina. This was Argentineans answer to the Colt Modello 1927 that was originally made for the Argentine Army. Prior to the Ballester-Molina, Argentina was producing 1911A1 pistols under license from Colt, and marked D.G.F.M. These are referred to as "Sistema Colts". That is one my next acquisitions.

I do have a sistema myself. Good solid well built Colt really it is. GI all the way. Totally interchangeable. Good steel. Well machined.

I had both of these but had to sell them due to a divorce. Both great guns that I'd like to replace at some point. I actually enjoyed shooting the Ballester-Molina more than the 1927. Both were very reliable with good magazines. I did put a new recoil spring in the Molina prior to firing.

Very nice, congrats and enjoy them.
