JR,
Just getting this straight in my head. G23 .40 to .357 you can use glock .357 barrel. G23 .40 to 9mm need special conversion barrel. I assume the same goes for the G27, with the exception of ordering the correct size barrels. Is this correct? LWD as good as they come?
Thanks in advance,
Robby T
Yes you are correct, 40 to 357 (or 357 to 40) is a simple barrel swap. These 2 barrels are virtually the same (the chambering is the only exception). The 357 cartridge is based on the 40 case necked down to accept a 9mm bullet. That is why these 2 are a natural in the same gun. You can easily convert any (every) Glock 40 to 357 with a simple barrel change
Yes you are correct, 40 to 9 (or 357 to 9) is a simple barrel swap. We accomplish this conversion by simply short chambering a 357 barrel to 9mm. (rocket scientist huh!) You should know that the factory 9mm barrel has a smaller barrel hood and barrel diameter, so dropping a factory 9mm barrel into your 40 or 357 is bad juju. Dropping a "9-40 conversion barrel" is perfectly acceptable.
*We encourage you to use the correct magazine with every conversion.
LWD barrels will run with any other barrel offered AND are lifetime warranted. That alone makes them pretty good but you have to ask yourself, why would you pay more for another brand and not receive more performance?
