View Full Version : Lapua Cartridge Factory ammo
A friend of mine recently got an SKS from someone who had it for many years and hadn't taken it out for many years. Along with the SKS, he received several boxes of ammunition. From what I understand, Lapua makes really good stuff. This ammo is pretty old, though. What's on the outside of the cases? Seems to only appear where the case and bullet are touching the box.
Check out the find:

Looks like the brass oxidized in spots.
Brasso with a rag will polish that right off. Just be real careful it has not
oxidized completely through the case and left a hole.

Any other info on this stuff? Is my understanding of excellent quality brass correct?

Someone wants 60 bucks for a box of this stuff, holy crap! I saw some for $45/30 rounds but it was newer stuff.
Sounds like good collectors stuff.
Polish it up and sell it.
