Anyone get one of the ruger 10-22 Thompson conversions yet..and if so how did ya like it..im wanting to get something tacticool but fun to shoot and that looked cool without breaking the bank(assuming I can get a used 10-22 for under $100 or around $100)

Have the M1 version parts, but have not had a chance to put it all together yet.

Doesn't look too hard.
I'll be getting to it in about two weeks, I think. Other projects to get out of the way first.

The kit goes together easily, and they are a lot of fun.

CMG-
That is sweet. I may have to put one of those kits on my list. I assume it functions as any normal 10-22, looks like the receiver sits inside the thompson "housing", yes?

I wanted to get one of those new fangles M4/AR platform looking ones..but then I saw that kit and if you had a cheap(used) 10-22 to add it would be around the same price those black rifle looking .22's are and I just think the Thompson is so much cooler...especially with the drum mag :)

.....Dang.. That is slick. Just hard to justify on my budget right now. Way high on the "cool factor" though.......

Of all of the 10/22 dress up kits that has to be the coolest looking ones! :wow: About how much time does it take to put it all together?

Takes less than an hour to assemble.

Here's the manufacturer's website:

That looks very cool! And I think you will have a much better rifle than the current crop of M4's, MP5's and other tacticool .22's out now.
