I broke my G-17 Gen 4 recoil spring

I was giving the spring a light brushing when it flew apart. I never looked at it long enough to figure out on how to put it together right, if it can even be put back together. I have no idea how the metal end peice was connected. Thanks

did you break it like most people broke the old style?

By not making sure it was in the correct notch when (every time) you put the slide back on the frame.

You are going to have to get a replacement from Glock. Call 1-770-432-1202 and ask for the Warranty Service Department.
