Some time ago my CD burner would burp about 20% into burning a CD.
Now, my DVD burner does the same!
Am running XP on a Dell Dimension 9200. The software is Roxio 2.4.32a.
The message at failure is "there was a problem writing to the disk". "Recording error: Recording errors often occur when the media contains dirt, fingerprints, or scratches." But the disks are clean, fresh, unused, etc.
Even tried a DVD, same thing except got abut 1/3 into the burn and took forever to fail to burn.
A cleaning disk did not help.
After closing the software I also got a "mediahub.exe" application error and "Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library error" But I have been getting these on closing since day one.
Part of my back-up routine is to DVD so the situation is serious now!
Any trouble shooting suggestions?
Thanks,
RC
