Well, got my new PM9 to the range today and laid 200 break-in rounds through it. Cheapy 115grn Federal FMJ's. Had zero FTE's, zero FTF's, but did have one problem twice... after firing a round I twice (out of 200) had the slide stop engage with more ammo in the mag. At first I thought it was an FTF, but when I dropped the mag to clear all the ammo was still in the mag and the slide remained open. I believe this to be a magazine issue as well. I'm going to lay a few hundred more through it but I expect that problem to clear up and I see this becoming my primary CCW.

9ft, first 50 rounds out of the box. I'm pleased for my first time shooting the gun, adjusting to the recoil, and learning the trigger.

18ft, moved point of aim up - 50 rounds

Tried head shots at 23 ft including some semi-rapid fire - 50 rounds

Really pleased with this gun.

Thanks, I'm pleasantly surprised by it. People make such a big deal about the recoil and complain about having to break it in, etc. The recoil was totally manageable through all 200 rounds including some 1 handed strong and weak hand shooting through the last 50 rounds. I did the whole '200 round break-in' in under an hour and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Maybe there's just some sissies on here. :whistling:

I shoot a S&W M&P 9MM Pro for USPSA and IDPA. Last Sunday we had a shoot and a BUG, Back Up Gun, shoot. I shot my PM9.
OK, compared to a 9MM Pro with a 5" barrel it's a little tough. But I had fun! I shot well with it and sure compared to a full size it's a hand full but my hits were right on there. It is my EDC!

I love this gun. Got back to the range again today. Accuracy is tightening up as I learn to shoot it. I am honestly finding myself more accurate with this PM9 than I am with my G26 that I've had and shot for years... I think it's due to the fact that the Kahr fits my hands better. I did have one FTF today, but I again think that was possibly due to my thumb coming up onto the slide release. I had my wife with me today and lost track of if I shot 150 or 200 rounds, but the reliability has seemed to improve as it gets broken in. Whenever I get a jam at the range I'm always in a hurry to clear the jam and continue firing (I guess b/c I get myself into a combat type mindset?). I really need to try to remember to investigate the cause right away so I can see if it's me, the gun, or the ammo. I am very pleased with the gun. I've heard people complain about the recoil but I think it's a joy to shoot. Yes, you feel it, but the feedback from the gun doesn't bother me a bit. 200 rounds is not a problem at all, if I had more ammo (and it was cheaper) I'd keep shooting.
