Well, what do YOU think of the G38 now?

Well, what do YOU think of the G38 now?

I simply cannot praise this gun enough. Same exact frame size as the ubiquitous G19, but fires a bullet of exact same size and weight as the regular five-inch .45 in a four-inch barrel.

Accurate, reliable and controlable even one handed under rapid fire. Shooters with small hands who may have had difficulty controlling a larger gripped .45 will have no more excuses. This gun combines hard-hitting .45 performance with concealability and controlability and still has decent magazine capacity.

I have a lot of Glocks and have been issued and fired a lot of different makes and styles of handguns over 30 years of shooting. This includes 1911s, Sigs, H&Ks, Berettas, Smith & Wessons, etc.

The G38 has to be called a classic in every sense of the word. Glock finally shoehorned .45 caliber performance into a G19 sized frame.

Even if this caliber never catches on with the shooting public, it's their loss. This is an outstanding weapon!

Five State Police Agencies (NY, PA, SC, GA and FL) agree with you!

The G38 definitely goes down in my book as one of the most surprising guns I've ever shot considering my preconceived notions against the GAP platform. Now all of my Glocks are GAPs.

I think you'll find that any of the GAP pistols (37,38,39) will give outstanding performance. This speculation is open to criticsm, but I think that Glock is giving their GAP pistols extra 'attention' to make sure they are as good as possible. They want *their* cartridge to succeed - at least with the open minded shooters.

dave - well we'd like to think so

same here.

I've owned 6 or 7 gen 3 Glocks in the last 3 years
the only one I've kept is my G38
and I have no intention of ever selling it

the only other Glock I really have any interest in now is a G39
