Making a lanyard hole on Sub compacts

Anyone here ever drill a hole in their sub compact Glocks for the purpose of attaching a lanyard on it ?
I am thinking about doing it to my G26 so I can attach a lanyard to use while on my ATV in the woods and trails .
Anyone did it before ? I am thinking about starting off with a small drill bit and then slightly going bigger unitl it is the size of the one on the G-22 .

I haven't done it but if I was going to, I would do it just like you described.

I did, then modified a Jentra G17 grip plug to fit. It snaps in place and stays put.

Here it is . I think it turned out really good . I just used a little drill bit and then bigger and then bigger until it was the size of the one on my G21 .
