Just picked it up this week.

Its a very high quality pistol and I can't wait to shoot it. The trigger is amazing. :wow:

Does anybody else own one or have an opinion?

I just got my CZ 82 in the mail today. Will have to see if I should get a CZ75 to go with it. Congrats on your shooter. Love your 1911 collection.

Hey Bac, i think we are the only ones here discusing your new shooter. I should take your advise and get a CZ 75 but i do not think it will be the champion. Q, should I get the B or BD? I would love to get the CZ 85 Combat with adjustable sights but cannot locate them anywhere. I am an FFL

Very interesting! I thought the trigger looked like it couldn't work, turns out they're single action only? Looks like its a discontinued model as well. Enjoy shooting it!

Yes, the Champion is a single action target pistol.

They're discontinued due to lackm of sales. I imagine the high price had something to do with that.

That is a very nice gun. I love CZ firearms. I also enjoy your 1911 posts. You have inspired me to start shooting 1911's more and more.

Congratulations on such a nice looking pistol!

Either get an SA if you want to use a manual safety and fire your first shot in single action mode or get a BD if you don't want a manual safety and fire your first shot in double action mode. In my opinion, the regular B model is pretty pointless because it is effectively a single action pistol. Sure, you can fire it double action if you manually lower the hammer while pulling the trigger. But who is going to do that when the manual safety won't work with the hammer down?

Currently a Glock guy (southpaw, seems to work well), but I do have to say I still keep eyeing up the CZ stuff whenever I walk into the shop. That is a very nice looking weapon.

I've owned hundreds of handguns, but I sold them all and kept only my half-dozen CZ's: a Rami for daily carry, a 75 SA, a nickel Compact, a Kadet .22, and two stainless 75B's. One of the latter has had the full CZ Custom Shop action job - converted to SA-only with the flat trigger, competition hammer, and no firing pin block. The 2.5 lb. trigger makes it a range-only gun, but lots of fun for informal competition.

All are accurate, reliable, wonderfully ergonomic, handsome, and easy to shoot well, thanks to their cocked and locked capability. If I could only have one handgun, the 75 SA would be my choice.

If I had lots of extra $$$, I'd certainly add one of the high-end CZ's like BAC's and then try to figure out how to photograph them as well as he does.

Bac , beautiful gun. I was lucky enough to shoot one of those in 40 cal a few months ago. One big hole in the target and very little recoil. I would have bought it if it was a 9mm.

Yeah, I would prefer to have a 9mm version as well.
