How to back-up cell phone messages/videos

My wife's cell phone has text messages and videos sent us of our first grandson's first year.

How can I back these up on our computer?

Cell phone is a LG on Verizon.

Naturally, no update is available for our UXB350.

I use BitPim. Not sure about how to transfer Voice mails, but vids, photos songs, ringtones can easily be transferred. Try searching on Howard's Forums, and go to the Verison LG forum.
