View Full Version : Constant practice is mandatory!
The point is this, no matter how proficient you have been in the past, constant practice is required to maintain that level of proficiency. It's a use it, or lose it, kind of thing.

get a .22 target pistol. You'll get SOME good out of rimfire, and it's cheap enough to shoot the heck out of it.
I didn't own a .22 pistol for 3 decades, and feel dumb now.

I agree.
Good luck with a quick(er) recovery.

Thanks! Today the physical therapist said it will be a while (if ever) before I can shoot hi-power rifles & handguns again due to my shoulder injury. He wants me to stick to 22's for now.
That's a long time, but I bet after a year of .22s your fundamentals will be exceptionally refined.

If it's a Glock, get a AACK .22 unit. SIG also makes .22 units, and Kimber does to.
I swear by my AACK .22 unit for my Glock 26, as well as my laser ex-airsoft Glock 26 and ASP red gun.
I get out to the range once a week, but I 'shoot' far more often than that.
