extractor replacement ?

I am thinking of replacing the extractor in my G36. It looks a bit rough at the leading edge. So far I have not had any extraction problems with it. My question is - does the replacement need to be fitted or is it a "drop in" ?

just watch the video, about 3/4 of the way through it shows how to replace extrator.
