Looks slick.

Does anyone actually make a LCI filler piece?

Sweet!!! My dream Ruger 22. That thing runs circles around my mk iii 22/45!

Love that thing! Stainless, fluted barrell, adjustable sights, no loaded chamber, down to the VQ goodies.

If only I had at least $600 to drop...

That to me would count as an heirloom gun.

Congrats!!
Does you magazine drop free by simply pressing the mag release button??
Volquartzen makes a spring loaded part that will eject the magazine..
Here's the link!! BTW Great Looking Pistol..

Thanks guys!

Jason,

Yes, a forum member over at rimfire central named 'bpatza' makes them for both stainless and blue. cost is about 20 bucks, and they replace the LCI, and are held in by a setscrew. Finish matches perfectly with no gaps.

Sig,

Yes, the Clark bushing, in addition to taking up any slop in the hammer to bushing 'interface', gets rid of the magazine disconnect safety, so the mags drop free of their own weight.

I saw that, and was tempted to order one. I an not at all sure where it fits though. I assume it replaces the little plastic spacer in the bottom of the magazine well.

Thanks guys!

Looks great, kinda looks like mine.I had a MK II years ago and recently picked up a MK III Hunter, now I remember why I like the Ruger 22's,one of the nicest shooting 22 pistols anyone make.

Once you dump the mag disconnect--the mags will drop free---$6 part if you want to do it on the cheap.

Nice looking pistol!

The Clark hammer bushing isn't cheap ($25 shipped if you mention RFC when you call), but it does wonders for the trigger action.

I know the Clarks are press fit, and that's what makes a huge difference in the trigger.
What about taking something like a Volquartsen MKII bushing, and loctiting it to the hammer?

Where did you pick up those sights from? I'd like to get rid of my FO sights.

...or MidwayUSA.
I almost bought one of those cut back ones they put on the longer barreled comp guns.

That is a nice setup. The only thing I dislike on my mk2 competition model is the mag catch, its on the bottom of the grip.:faint:

Rather than just behind the trigger guard like most normal pistols.

That set up is a perfect match.I wish mk2 could be mag converted to the mk3 style.

Thanks guys!

I appreciate the feedback.

I shot this gun a whole bunch before deciding what mods to make on it.

The VQ trigger is a huge improvement, and the fiber-optic sights just were not precise enough for long distance work. (some of our matches go out to 75 meters with irons)

This thing is like shooting a freakin laser. Not to toot my own horn, but I tied for second in my last silouhette match (lost in the shoot-off :crying: my fault, not the gun) , and I plan on besting that this Sunday.

I believe I have a keeper with this one, and maybe one day, my kids would like to have it.

I believe you could combine a MKIII lower, and a MKII upper if you were so inclined.
