Silencerco Osprey 9mm and HKUSP9SD (pics)

My Osprey finally arrived at my dealer on a form3 and I just got home from sending out the form4 on it. The serial is below 20, as I paid for this badboy back in December 09 when the 9mm version was still a prototype.

We molested the hell outta the can while I was there. I love the mechanics behind this thing! Very cool. Here are some pics I took at my dealers shop.(evan @ onpointfirearms.com)

Yeah I like it, all my other cans are cylindrical, nice to have some change. The eccentric design is not new, but it is a modern design of maxims. Well it way surpassed his but they used the eccentric design idea for sight clearence and internal volume. Its supposed to be 125dB dry and 120dB wet with 147grn on a SIGP226. Thats 22lr suppressor realm!

Of course the tone pitch will be higher as the pressure and powder volume of 9mm is higher than .22lr but the actual dB levels are around 125max. Some say the tone sounds like the Trident9.

I can't wait to shoot it wet with 158fiocchi!
