Question about some old RCBS dies

I got some old RCBS dies in 9mm (3 die set). They're pretty old with a little rust in spots. Tonight I have them soaking in some coca cola to get the rust off, tomorrow I'll clean them up.

The sizing die does not appear to be carbide, that is I can not see another metal insert inside of the die.

Can I size 9mm with this die without lube?

If not, then is it good for anything? Worth keeping?

If it's not carbide, you'll need to lube the cases. Not a huge deal... hornady one shot will make quick work of it.

I lube even when using carbide dies with one shot spray.

If nothing else clean them up and make sure they work . Give them to a friend who is just starting out. I did that with an old RCBS single stage press and a set of .243 dies. 6 months later he gave them back because he bought a new press and dies and told me if he wouldnt have tried it at home on that press and dies where he felt comfortable he never would have gotten into it.

I also lube the cases with carbide dies. Especially with the 9MM.
